Sedation is extremely effective in helping nervous patients to relax during any given dental procedure.
Why sedation?

Helping nervous patients to find their confidence
The effects of sedation induce feelings of deep relaxation. Some patients describe it as a comforting “high” sensation. Any anxiety you felt prior to the sedative taking effect will disappear very suddenly, leaving you calm whilst in the dentist’s chair.
As sedation is amnesic, it’s normal for patients to have very little or no recollection of the procedure. Once the sedative wears off, you will feel a little drowsy.
One of the most remarkable aspects of having treatment under sedation is the new-found confidence that patients develop. It’s not unusual for patients to feel they no longer need sedation for future procedures, once they develop a trusting relationship with their dentist.

We can also perform simple routine check-ups under sedation, which we recommend to nervous patients who may not have visited the dentist for several years.
