Possibly the most complex treatment in dentistry, this is where we rebuild multiple worn teeth to a functional, bespoke set of teeth.

Destruction of tooth tissue (dental wear) occurs due to a number of reasons; your dietary habits including acid consumption, regurgitation, and/or parafunctional habits such as grinding. These destructive processes over time, destroy natural tooth tissue and can alter your bite, and in turn your facial support affecting your facial profile. This can affect your natural function of chewing, along with the cosmetic appearance of your smile becoming worn and aging you.

Full mouth reconstruction can include rebuilding worn teeth, altering your bite, repairing decayed or fractured teeth, and replacing missing teeth to restore dental and facial harmony.

Our experienced, restorative and cosmetic dentists have the experience and expertise to plan, stage and rebuild your teeth in the most appropriate and bespoke way for you, using the latest technology in order to achieve a highly aesthetic, healthy, functional, and long lasting result. Many general dentists do not have the knowledge and skills to carry out this complex process.

Artistry, Skill, and Seeing the Bigger Picture

When we carefully plan your full mouth rehabilitation, we use a range of techniques, and marry treatments together, such as the use of onlays, inlays, crowns and veneers and implants if necessary. Your chewing system will be completely restored, returning your mouth, smile and facial proportions to how they ought to be: functional and beautiful. It’s more than just about your teeth, it’s about getting your confidence and self-esteem back.

We plan each case with extreme precision, leaving no stone unturned. The process will start with a full consultation, followed by a thorough examination of the patient and the discussion of his/her aesthetic concerns and needs, which will include taking measurements, photographs and records.

Full mouth reconstruction is a process using what we call the “diagnostic phase”. This is a dental diagnostic procedure in which planned restorations are developed in wax on a diagnostic cast or digital to determine optimal clinical and laboratory procedures necessary to achieve the desired aesthetics and function. In the following appointment, the dentist and the patient discuss the wax up and figure out if there are more changes that need to be made.

When we are happy with the diagnostic wax up, we copy it with silicon and we fabricate a silicon index. With the help of resin material placed inside the index and then directly over your teeth, we copy the wax up on your teeth with temporary material “mock up”. When we remove the index from the mouth, the result is immediately visible.

Usually, the resulting changes are significant, and our patients need time to understand them and decide if they like them or not. We use this time to photograph teeth and the new smile and we deliver the material we gathered to our patient, to evaluate it and discuss. The purpose of mock up is to present the desired outcome on teeth and smile before we move on to the final treatment plan.

It is an extremely useful communication tool for the patient and the dentist for the following reasons:

  • It simulates the final outcome.
  • The result is temporary and can be changed according to the patient’s desires.
  • It can be repeated as many times as needed in order to select the best possible solution.
  • It helps create trust between the patient and the dentist.
  • It allows the dentist to evaluate the patient’s desires and change the treatment plan accordingly.

When all procedures are done precisely, we can provide you with the final restorations and the beautiful smile you deserve.

The functional and aesthetics outcomes will be accurately projected before treatment, so that you end up with the beautiful smile you deserve.

You may benefit from full mouth restoration if you have:

  • Severely worn teeth.
  • Multiple missing teeth.
  • All of your teeth missing.
  • A deep bite.
  • Severely decayed teeth or erosion.
  • Congenital missing teeth.
  • Sustained a traumatic injury to your teeth or mouth.
