We offer traditional dentures, overdentures, and implant-retained dentures.
Traditional Dentures
Traditional dentures rely on passive retention to stay fixed in the mouth. This means adhesives and pastes may be necessary to keep them in position when you eat, chew and smile. This is especially the case for the lower dentures. Lower dentures have a reputation for being notoriously loose. You’d think that gravity alone would help keep them in place. But lower dentures don’t have the luxury of adhering to a large surface area of stationary anatomy. They also have to combat a tongue moving up, down, and all around, serving to dislodge them. Lower dentures must rely on a narrow ridge of bone to stay in place.
Overdentures
This type of denture is attached to 2 dental implants, or 2 mini-implants. The denture will click into position, making it a more stable choice than traditional dentures. Overdentures are considered to be the second-best option (after implant-retained-dentures) for long-term durability and functionality. We may be able to retrofit your old dentures (should they still fit) to accommodate the new denture.
Implant-Retained Dentures:

Implant retained dentures are a set of dentures that are fixed in position with implants. Commonly 4 or 6 implants are placed on the upper and lower arch to fix a bespoke set of teeth in position.
The way that implant-retained dentures sit in your mouth, click firmly into place onto the implants, means a greater fit is achieved. This also means that when you’re eating and talking, you won’t have to live with the worry of them moving about in your mouth. This can be life-changing, not purely from a functional perspective, but enabling you develop more confidence when you’re doing everyday things like eating a meal or having a conversation.
